What is urodynamic testing?
A urodynamic study or urodynamic testing is a medical examination, using state-of-the-art technology, to evaluate the function of the lower urinary tract (bladder and sphincters).
At ANAPLASI, urodynamic studies are performed by a certified urologist or physiatrist.
During the examination, the pressures and flow of urine are recorded through an advanced, highly sensitive electronic system during the phases of bladder filling and emptying.
Who can benefit from urodynamic testing?
Urodynamic testing is helpful in both men and women who have problems with bladder dysfunction.
It is useful in neurological patients with
- Vascular Stroke,
- Multiple sclerosis,
- Craniocerebral injuries,
- Spinal Cord Injury,
- And Parkinson’s disease,
who suffer from a neurogenic bladder.
