After a successful neurosurgical operation, Tasos Chalkias is undergoing a rehabilitation program at ANAPLASI Medical Rehabilitation Center.
As the popular actor says jokingly: “It seems that Diamantis’ agricultural work in Kato Partali and the nightly training of the village youth in martial arts… took a toll on my neck!!! The truth is that the last year has been very creative, but also especially tiring.” Referring to his health adventure, he says: “I knew it was a very serious and delicate surgery and I was very stressed, because, before the surgery, I had reached the point where I could not move my arm and could hardly walk! I am lucky because I met neurosurgeon Christos Georgopoulos, and it is no coincidence that they call him the “god of neurosurgery”! Everything happened exactly as he told me. Just think, one day I went into HENRY DUNANT hospital to have surgery and the next day I left the hospital! I want to publicly thank Dr. Georgopoulos and especially to thank the public for their concern, interest, and love. In a few days, I will return with great appetite and enthusiasm to my daily activities, on television and in the theater: “Kato Partali”, but also “My Beloved Smyrni”, a unique theatrical performance with Mimi Denisi, who also directs and adapted the text, and with respected colleagues.”
As stated by the Scientific Director of ANAPLASI, physiatrist Konstantinos Zikopoulos, “Tasos Chalkias’ is making a spectacular post-operative recovery and is expected to be discharged in about a week.”
