“I am fully prepared to take part in the World Swimming Championships being held from 9 to 19 August 2013 in Canada. I am departing with best wishes from my family and the ANAPLASIA family”, states our Paralympic gold medalist Giannis Kostakis, on the eve of his departure for Montreal. What makes our top athlete unique at the World Swimming Championships is that he has qualified for five different events (50m breaststroke SB2, 50m freestyle, 50m butterfly, 100m freestyle, 200m freestyle S3)! As Giannis Kostakis points out, “The truth is I’ve had difficulty with my training recently, due to operational problems of the OAKA swimming pool. On the other hand, however, it made me appreciate even more how important the care in ANAPLASI Medical Rehabilitation Center was for me. The doctors and therapists of ANAPLASI made sure I felt confident, covering the problem in training with a special “made-to-measure” program and the additional preparatory requirements of muscle relaxation and strengthening programs. I value the support of ANAPLASI, and it means I can always declare myself ready to give a great performance.”
