“Art, and especially Theater, attains the highest level only when it expresses the anguish, the need, the hope, and the expectation of personal and social liberation and emancipation.”
This was the profound, yet unmistakably clear message of an unprecedented, unrepeatable performance by the National Theatre of Northern Greece in the Day Center of the ANAPLASI Medical Rehabilitation Center.
To a packed room – over 200 people with over 60 wheelchairs in the front rows – the players of the National Theatre of Northern Greece theatre group, led by Artistic Director Sotiris Hatzakis, were transformed from a performing theatre group into participants and recipients of a touching experience.
