Important Prerequisite
You must have a condition that, by Greek law and EOPYY Regulations, requires hospitalization in an inpatient Rehabilitation Center.
Follow these 5 steps
- Two days before your discharge from the Hospital or Clinic where you are being treated, ask the Medical Director of the Clinic (a doctor specializing in your condition) to implement the procedure for admission to an Inpatient Rehabilitation Center, as defined by EOPYY. Your doctor should go to the EOPYY website www.eopyy.gov.gr, select “ELECTRONIC ECPY OPINION” and, using their personal codes, complete an electronic ECPY medical opinion for you, and submit it to EOPYY. The EOPYY decision is usually issued within 48 hours of its submission. Your application may be fully approved, partially approved, or rejected.
- If EOPYY approves your application (fully or partially), you can be admitted to ANAPLASI under the specialist hospital program (ειδικό νοσήλιο) and supplemented by the corresponding room upgrade, depending on whether you choose a triple (Bβ room type), double (Ba room type), or a single (A room type) room. If EOPYY does not approve your application, you can still be admitted to ANAPLASI as a private patient. The ANAPLASI Inpatient Office can offer attractive financial packages for inpatient rehabilitation programs.
- On admission to ANAPLASI, you should have all the relevant medical documents and information necessary for us to record your medical history and assist us in the proper rehabilitation process.a) the three-page electronic EKPY opinion (ensuring it has the stamp of the Medical Director of the hospital or clinic where you were hospitalized); b) the decision of the Committee for Approving Medical Reports; c) the discharge certificate of the hospital or clinic where you were hospitalized: Please also bring your Police Authority Card (ID Card) with you. We remind you that during your hospital stay, prescriptions cannot be fulfilled with your AMKA.
- On admission to ANAPLASI, you should have all the relevant medical documents and information necessary for us to record your medical history and assist us in the proper rehabilitation process.
- During your stay for rehabilitation at ANAPLASI, you may need to be transferred to another hospital or private clinic for reasons unrelated to rehabilitation. To be readmitted to ANAPLASI, we will need your discharge certificate and a medical report, stamped and signed by your treating physician and the Director of Medicine, which should describe the reason for your transfer and specifically state that you need rehabilitation with continued inpatient rehabilitation (both documents must be the originals).
ATTENTION: During the COVID-19 pandemic, an additional basic requirement for your admission to ANAPLASI is to undergo a molecular RT PCR COVID-19 detection test. This test must have been performed within 48 hours before your admission to ANAPLASI and must have shown a negative result.
